Small Groups
Small groups are the venue in which you get to put into practice many of things that are taught at VCF. Each small group is different, but you will find these common spiritual ingredients being worked on and shaped in small groups at VCF.
- learning to hear from God in the scriptures
- being led by the Spirit
- learning to live from the presence of God
- praying together for your workplace, family, and friends
- praying for and ministering to one another
- growing as witnesses where God has put us
- discussing and applying the Sunday sermon
Currently, there are 3 kinds of small groups at VCF.
ALPHA
- Focus: The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed manner, over 10 thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is low-key, friendly, and fun.
- Schedule: Tuesday nights, beginning September 6, 2011 for 10 weeks.
- Led by: Sanjeev Nandakumaran
THRIVING GROUP
- Focus: For the past few months, we have sensed God's desire for His people to thrive in real life under trying situations. Thriving Group is a resource for living a flourishing life even in drought. For those who want to work out real-time specifics in a community that shares and prays for each other, this group may just be the thing for you. These sessions focus on practical keys to working out those critical situations.
- Schedule: Next set of sessions will begin Wednesday, Sept. 21st at 7:30 pm. Thereafter, we will meet every Wednesday until the end of November.
- Led by: Pastor Michael Koh
SMALL GROUPS
- Focus: The purpose of small groups at VCF is to grow in knowing God, building strength and applying His word through discipleship, fellowship and prayer for one another.
- Schedule: Schedule varies by group. Groups generally meet weekly or every other week.
- Led by: Pastoral Ministry Team Members
