A BRIEF HISTORY OF VCF

In 1990, Michael Koh, our founding pastor, came to Pasadena from Malaysia to study at Fuller Theological Seminary. God had told him that he would meet a group of people he was to disciple, from which a new movement of God would arise.

In this movement, God would empower men and women to be His servant community. They would be a people who know their God, display strength and take action (Daniel 11:32). Vision Christian Fellowship, a nondenominational church plant, is one way in which the movement has taken shape.

Some key moments for VCF:

· September 1990: Michael Koh met a small group of people and began to lead and train them.

· April 1993: After a few years of meeting in apartments in South Pasadena, VCF was launched publicly. We began to rent space from a Pasadena church to hold our worship services and other programs.

· May 2006: VCF, by God's abundant grace, purchased the church building and property at its current location on Colorado Boulevard where God continues to work in and through us. We praise God for His faithfulness!
