Michael is married to Cindy, and they have 3 daughters, Kailyn, Eliza, and Zephy. He was born in Singapore and grew up in England and Malaysia. Soon after graduating from college, he was involved in church planting for 17 years, planting 6 churches in different parts of Malaysia. He moved to the United States to study at Fuller Seminary. Meanwhile. Cindy had been called by God to move to Southern CA for church planting. At this miracle juncture, Michael and Cindy met. Together they began meeting with a small group of young college grads in apartments, which later became Vision Christian Fellowship.
Both Michael and Cindy are actively involved in training leaders and lead The Connexion, a missions fellowship that trains emerging leaders of church and missional organizations. Their call is based on Daniel 11:32 , “but the people who know their God shall display strength and do exploits”.
